Rose Virginia Keep
1940-2019
On February 4, surrounded by her loving daughters, Rose Keep left this world to join her husband, Danny, in Heaven.
Rose was born on June 26, 1940 to Joe and Mary Bartoshewsky. She grew up on the family farm in Amber Valley with her brother, John, and sisters, Annie and Elizabeth. She went to live in Athabasca where she would meet the love of her life, Danny Keep.
Rose and Danny got married on February 29, 1960, and lived on a small farm a couple miles east of Boyle which Rose lived on until her passing. Their love would produce 7 beautiful daughters, not quite a baseball team, but close. Rose and Danny opened Danny's Texaco in 1972 on the same land where they lived. They worked endless hours, Rose in the service station pumping gas and selling groceries and fishing supplies, and Danny with his backhoe working for the lake people. Rose and Danny semi-retired with Danny still working with his backhoe. They finally had time to take up golfing, which they embraced, and bought a motor home to travel from golf course to golf course.
On February 11, 2003, after returning home from a trip to Cuba, Danny suffered a massive heart attack and passed away. Rose's girls surrounded her with love, but Rose never got over his passing and longed for the day she would be with Danny again.
She leaves to mourn her daughters Bonnie (Dwayne) Lega, Holly (Jim) Resler, Dayna (Lyle) Whitford, Cindy Wolak, Carla (Joe) Rodier, Tracey Lazowski (Keep), and Gina (Danny) Graham. She also leaves to mourn 18 grandchildren; Kevin Lega, Niki Noyes; Morgan and Zac Resler; Riley, Shania, and Victoria Whitford; Felicia and Michelle Wolak; Dallas and Travis Rodier, Jerrica Hall; Jodi, Cole, and Keiran Lazowski; Tyler, Madison, and Kady Graham; as well as 12 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Danny; granddaughter, Anna Wolak; and parents, Joe and Mary Bart.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Boyle Community Center.
All donations can be made to the Boyle Healthcare Center Auxiliary.
