Agnes Clare Kaufman

It is with profound sadness that the family of Agnes Kaufman announce her passing on November 30, 2025 in Lac La Biche at the age of 85 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, are her children:  Mark Torresan (Nancy), Gilbert Torresan (friend Ingrid), Harvey Torresan (Cathy), Robert Torresan, Nicole Peterson (Keith), son-in-law Laio Smith, grandchildren: Tony Smith (Kendra), Degna Barry (Ryan), Mikala Smith, Megan Smith, T.J. Torresan (Jamie), Kyle Torresan (Brianne), Derek Torresan (Diana), Lynnita Adams (Cameron), Mallory Peterson, Moraine Peterson (Jaden), Dallas Torresan, Jordan Torresan, great-grandchildren: Elijah Smith, Ezekiel Smith, Isla Barry, Farrah Barry, Mira Barry, Priya Barry, Liam Torresan, Ember Torresan, Isaac Adams-Larivière, Maren Cruickshank, sister Rena St. Jean, brother Ronnie Duperron, sisters-in-law: Lorraine Duperron, Helen Bigelow, Carole Germain, Delores Torresan, Vicky Jacobson, Gloria Anderson, former son-in-law Lionel Peterson, former daughter-in-law Josee Johnsen, numerous other family members and an abundance of friends.

Agnes is predeceased by: her loving husband of 18 years Elmer Kaufman in 2008, beloved daughter Anita Smith in 2002, mother Georgina Duperron in 2005, father Alfred Duperron in 2006, first husband and father of her children Nicholas Torresan in 1986, mother-in-law Mary Torresan, father-in-law Anthony Torresan, brothers: Romeo Duperron in 2008, Eugene Duperron in 2019, Gerald Duperron in 2025, brothers-in-law: Alcide St. Jean in 2020, Mike Torresan in 2021, Paul Torresan, Stan Krewski, Ken Bristow, Henry Rosenkranz, sisters-in-law: Hilda Rozenkranz, Mary Krewski, Valley Bristow, nephews: Ralph Duperron and Leroy Rosenkranz

A viewing will be held on December 7, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Athabasca Community Chapel.
The funeral service will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Lac La Biche with Father Anselmo Landoy officiating.

Interment will follow at Willow Park Cemetery.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the Homecare Staff, Acute Care Staff and Long Term Care Staff in Lac La Biche for all their kindness and care shown to our beloved mother Agnes during her last year of declining health.
