It is with deep sadness, although with gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Albert Bury, of Athabasca Alberta, on September 30, 2023.

Dad will be dearly missed by his loving family; wife Mary; children Walter (Wanda), Valen (Gloria) and Carolyn (Steven); grandchildren Kodi (Terri), Kendall (Carleane), Larissa, Katherine (Denis) and Kristine (Colin); along with great grandchildren Evan, Eli, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Madison, Braelyn, Jase, Renleigh, Ty, Isabelle, Lana, Livie and Laurel.

He is also survived by his brothers Frank (Lorna), Tom (Leona) and Edwin (Suzanne); sisters Lily (Ray) and Helen (Buddy); brother-in law Orest; sister-in-law Jennie and Minnie; many nephews - nieces and their extended families.

Dad was predeceased by his parents (Thomas and Anna), in-laws (Roman and Karolina), six brother-in-laws (Joesph S, Joe, Marion, Roman, Joseph H, Walter), and three sister-in-laws (Ann, Rose, Helen).

A private family service was held. We express our heartfelt thanks to all the relatives, neighbours and friends for their love and support during this time.

For those who desire, a memorial donation (in lieu of other tributes) may be made directly to Athabasca Health-Care Auxiliary Association; or to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation; or to the charity of choice.

A Dad’s most lasting influence on the world is seen in the faces of his family… in the light in their eyes when they talk about him… in the love they will hold on to forever….
