It is with sadness that the Pacholok family announces the passing of Bill Pacholok at the Athabasca Hospital with family at his side.
Bill was born at the Athabasca Hospital on November 21, 1936.
Bill farmed in the Forfar area for 65 years, until moving to Athabasca in 2015.
To anyone who knew Bill, farming was his passion. Bill was very particular when it came to farming. Bill’s equipment was always clean and parked under cover when finished. Bill also loved red and white, as you could tell by his red buildings and pure white fences.
Bill will be remembered by his loving wife Janet of 64 years and his brother Steve; children Glenn (Rosie), Valerie (Bob) Broda, Brent (Nicole) and daughter in law Shirley.
Bill (Gido) loved every moment with 9 grandchildren Shane, Kyle, Dale, Tyler, Travis, Jesse, Kendra, Keagan, Kayleigh; and 5 great grandchildren Mia, Beau, Alexis, Colton and Damon.
Bill was predeceased by his brothers Alex, Mike, Nick and John as well as his son Darrell.
A Prayer Service will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Athabasca Community Chapel.
A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Church in Athabasca. Interment will follow for family at the Athabasca Cemetery.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Athabasca Hospital who cared for Bill in his time of need.
