Catherine Schmidt Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Catherine Jo Ann Schmidt (Luiken), announces her passing on April 10th, 2026 at the age of 68 years.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Doug Schmidt, her four children: Scott Schmidt (Selena Delauw) Bart Schmidt (Amanda Schmidt) Keith Schmidt, Mariah Corbel. Her seven Grandchildren: Baily(Darci) Joshua, Tait, Lanaya, Colin, Levi and Aubree, Her three Great-Grandchildren Evie, Elijah and Jesse, Her Sister Frances Karpiak (Ken Karpiak) Brother Rudy Luiken (Rena Luiken), As well as numerous uncles, aunties and in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Cathy Is predeceased by her parents Nico and Rita Luiken
A Memorial Service will be held on July 25th, 2026 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic church In Boyle, Alberta at 11am, with a luncheon to follow at the Boyle Community Center.
