Christopher Hansma Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, our family must announce the sudden and tragic passing of Chris Hansma at the age of 39 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Lannetta and Derald Lobay, his wife: Brianna Hansma, his grandfather: Willem Hansma, his grandparents: Steve and Ann Lobay as well numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends he counted as family.
Chris was predeceased by his grandmother, Johanna Hansma.
Chris had a warm and generous heart and also had a tremendous love of animals.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Athabasca Reformed Congregation at 5210 47 Avenue, Athabasca, Alberta, T9S 1K3, on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
Donations in memory of Chris may be directed to any local animal shelter or adopt a pet!
We thank the Athabasca Community Chapel for their care of Chris as well as the kind and gentle treatment of grieving family. Thank you to Pastor Al Plat and Lorraine Jewell for Chris’ Celebration of Life. Thank you to all who shared in his life with love and friendship.
