Concella Saxton passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of family, friendship, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Concella is lovingly remembered by her partner, Jerome Desrosiers, and her children: Curt (Bev), Kim (Sandra), and Corey (Amy). She was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her siblings Anita (Albert), Leroy, Rita, Mitch (Margaret), and Valarie; sisters-in-law Darlene and Nancy; and brother-in-law Hector, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were fortunate to share in her life.
Concella was predeceased by her parents, George and Connie McClelland; her siblings Conrad, Clint, and Ila; and her brother-in-law Lloyd and sister-in-law Gladys.Concella took great pride in her home, yard, and garden—spaces she lovingly cared for with the help and sacrifice of her sons. Her home was a reflection of her dedication and hard work.
She was extremely passionate about quilting, sharing this talent with many friends and generously donating quilts and blankets to those in need. Her kindness and creativity brought warmth and comfort to countless people. Concella also enjoyed skating and playing fastball, later transitioning to slow-pitch, where she formed many lasting friendships and memories along the way.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. M. Burger, the Cross Cancer Institute, and the compassionate healthcare staff for their kindness and care.
A Celebration of life for Concella will be held Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Colinton Hall, Colinton, AB at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Quilting for Humanity Group.
