It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Arlene Prosser. She found peace on December 6, 2025, at the age of sixty-six, following a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born on August 9, 1959, in Kincardine, Ontario to Harvey and Gladys McLeod, Connie was the second born in a family of five daughters. She met the love of her life, Hugo, in high school. The two moved to Alberta in 1981, were married later that year and welcomed their first born, Amanda, in 1982 and their second child, Loretta, in 1983. They moved to Boyle in 1989 where they lived until 2007 when Connie was admitted to the long-term auxiliary ward of the Athabasca Hospital, where she would spend the remainder of her days.
Connie is survived by her husband Hugo; daughters Amanda (Steve) and Loretta (Kevin); granddaughter Eleanor; father Harvey; sisters Dianne, Bette, Myrna (Greg) as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Gladys, and youngest sister, Marlene.
We would like to thank the staff at the auxiliary ward for caring for her during her time with them, Claire Phillips for her years of support to our family, as well as the drivers of the handi-bus who regularly took her on adventures.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS society of Canada are welcome.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00pm at Athabasca Community Chapel.
