Darrell was born on August 14, 1962, in Edmonton, Alberta. He passed away on September 3, 2023, at his home in Edson, Alberta.
Darrell lived most of his life in Athabasca and Clyde, Alberta and also Edmonton for a short time. He moved to Edson in 2013, where he lived until his passing.
Over Darrell’s lifetime he worked as a carpenter, cribber, truck driver and when he moved to Edson became a driver for Hallcon, which transported train crews for CN.
Darrell’s passions included his motorcycles, Hawg Flatts in Athabasca, and his pets.
Survived by his partner Anne Carey, father Russel, brother Russel Sr. (Susan), nephews Russ Jr., Andrew and Matt (Gerri), his grand nephews and nieces, Brandon (Caitlyn), Madison (Michael), Kenndey, Jade, Jacob and Jaxson, along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Darrell was predeceased by his mother Alice Lorraine, grandparents Andrew & Mary Kolasa and William and Marie Grove, as well as numerous uncles and aunts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Athabasca & District Seniors Citizens Society 4810 – 48 St. Athabasca, Alberta on October 7, 2023, at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow at a later date.
