David Brian Chromiak, born on July 8, 1957, at Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away after a short stay in the Athabasca hospital on January 14, 2025. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many.
David grew up with a deep connection to the land as a farmer. His dedication to the farm and his family began early in his life. Known for his wit and cheeky sense of humor, David had an uncanny ability to bring laughter into a room. Whether sharing stories or cracking jokes, he created cherished memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his beloved daughters Stephanie and Jaclyn; son in law Stephen, grandchildren Stella, Cedar, Alder, Alina, and Blake, Brother Ken and Sister Joan. Each of them held a special place in David's heart—he took immense pride in being their father and grandfather.
As we mourn this profound loss together as a family and community, we also celebrate the life that David lived—a life filled with love for others. In honor of his memory and spirit, we will be holding a celebration of life this spring (date to be determined). We invite all who knew him to join us as we share stories and memories that reflect the joy he brought into our lives
Though David may have left this world physically, his legacy will continue through each laugh shared among friends and every moment spent with family. He was one of those rare people you could always count on for help, reminding us never to take ourselves too seriously. Rest easy now—your laughter echoes on in our hearts forevermore.
