Delores Louise Mikulin

Delores was born on June 14, 1947, and lived a full and vibrant life defined by her hard work, creativity, and love for her family and community. She spent her career in banking, beginning as a teller and rising through the ranks to become a bank manager—a testament to her dedication, intelligence, and work ethic.

Delores had many passions that she joyfully shared with others. She was an exceptional cook and baker who delighted in preparing meals and treats for family and friends. Her love of animals, beaches, and the ocean was matched by her fondness for seashells, decorating, and collectables. She had a natural gift for throwing parties and making every gathering special. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Orest Mikulin; her children, Shawn Kirst, Robyn Gervais, and Donovan Krajacic; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gabriel’s Church on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Venice Cemetery, with a lunch reception to be held at Hylo Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Athabasca Health Care Centre Auxiliary Unit or the SPCA.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Wild Rose Villa in Boyle and the Auxiliary Unit in Athabasca for the care and kindness they showed Delores in her final days. She will be remembered always for her warmth, her generosity, and her beautiful smile.
