Dennis Shostak Obituary

Dennis Shostak, 76, passed away peacefully on September 23rd 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones after a short battle with Cancer.  Dennis was born February 29, 1948 in South Port, England, grew up in Edmonton, raised his family on an acreage near Wabamun before finally settling down in Athabasca.

His was happiest around his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.  He loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, golfing or just working around outside.  Dennis will be dearly missed and always remembered for his willingness to help others and his infectious laugh.

Dennis was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Joseph and sister Jenny.  He is survived by his wife Irene, children Ryan and Tina (Andrew), his siblings Naddie (Ralph) and Andy (Sherry), and his grandchildren Thomas and Katie as well as pets Rocky, Hector and Chester.

Dennis requested a celebration of life be held in his honour in lieu of traditional funeral services.  We are still in the planning stages and will post the details at later time.
