Ellen Van Hees Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of (Mary) Ellen Van Hees (Kroetsch) on February 17th, 2022.
Ellen is survived by her loving husband John Van Hees of almost 70 years; her sisters: Eileen Kuber and Sr. Violet Kroetsch; brothers: Terrance (Joan) Kroetsch and Hugh (Jean) Kroetsch; along with many dear nieces and nephews.
Ellen is lovingly remembered by her children: Penny Lamnek (Hans), Doug Van Hees (Linda), Kenneth Van Hees (Lorraine), Frances Martin (Jason) and Kathleen Semeniuk;
Her grandchildren: Jonathan (Jen), Jenna, Steven (Breann), Cameron (Stacey), Marlene (Fred), Carly, Shannon, Breannyn (Sukhmanbir), Sara and Julie, will remember the fun and laughter of a card game, and her great grandchildren: Emily, Jamie, Jared, Cori Lynn, Cecilia, Gabrielle, Dominic, Kate, Everett, Chase and Hunter, will remember the candy cupboard and cheese slices.
At almost 94 years Ellen was predeceased by several siblings, family members and friends, most notably her granddaughter Corinne Van Hees.
The family wishes to thank the Boyle Wild Rose Villa for their care and comfort of her.
They also thank Drs. Honiball, Henegan and Fourie along with the Boyle Health Care Center for their care and compassion towards Ellen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Social Services, Sign of Hope.
