We regretfully announce the passing of Garry Ronald Jewell of Athabasca, AB on December 27th, 2023.
Our husband/father/grandfather/great-grandfather passed away into our Creator’s graces after a very tiring battle with cancer. A warrior throughout life, Garry was 74 years old prior to loosing his battle to illness. Garry is survived by many loving individuals, including his wife, Louella Jewell of 55+ years, son Norman Jewell (Candice), daughter Vicky Silkie (Marty), Grandkid's Darcy Silkie (Katie), Laine Nolan (Richard), Kennidi Jewell (Cole), Carson Jewell (Tyron), Kianna Jewell & Kaden Jewell, Great-Grandkids Ryder Silkie, Genevieve Silkie & Corey Robideau, Siblings Glen Jewell (Wendy), Lloyd Jewell (Lyne), Lorna Bury, Suzanne Bury (Edwin), Brooke Jewell (Grizz). Garry was predeceased by his mother and father Joe and Judy Jewell & brother in-law Frank Bury.
Dads love for his guitar and music was something he gifted to us throughout our lives and he will be forever loved and remembered. We do however appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
Dads wishes were that we would have a celebration of life gathering next summer at the Jewell’s ballpark.
