Gerald Semashkewich Obituary
Gerald Peter Semashkewich was born on August 14, 1962, and passed away March 24, 2024 at the Athabasca Healthcare Centre after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 61 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Olga Semashkewich; sister Marlene (Dave) Thachuk; brothers Lorry, Randy and Colin Semashkewich; nieces and nephew Ashley, Diamond and Tyrell Whitney; as well as many extended family and friends.
Gerald was predeceased by his father Stanley Semashkewich.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Prosvita Hall in Prosperity, AB with Rev. Fr. Dr. Roman I. Shiyan officiating. Burial to follow at Spruce Valley Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the compassionate support and care provided by all of Gerald’s doctors and hospital staff as well as extended family and friends.
