With heavy hearts and much love, we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, and oupa (grandfather), Graham Andre, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 69.
Graham was born in Nairobi, Kenya, grew up in Zimbabwe, and raised his family in South Africa before immigrating to Canada to build a new life. He devoted himself to his family, leading by example with a tireless work ethic, a strong sense of responsibility, and a generous heart.
In retirement, Graham and Amanda found their retreat at Baptist Lake, where they spent their retirement days fishing, boating, and enjoying the peace of nature and wildlife.
Graham was known for his gift of storytelling and his endless sense of humor. His grandchildren delighted in the countless tales he spun, stories often shared over ice cream and the many jokes that filled their days with laughter. He was an avid movie lover, enjoyed carpentry, and always found joy in being outdoors. Above all, he was a devoted husband of 47 years, a proud father, and a deeply cherished oupa.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Amanda; his daughter Natasha and son-in-law Andrew; his brother Michael; and his three grandchildren, Abby, Maddy, and Colton. He was predeceased by his parents, Maureen and Herman Andre, and his son, Hennie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at 27 Ella Mae Crescent, Whispering Hills, Alberta. A casual lunch will follow, with an open mic for anyone wishing to share a story, memory, or moment with Graham.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second-Chance Athabasca Country Refuge in recognition of Graham’s lifelong love for animals.
