John Deale Obituary

John was born in Nova Scotia in 1953 where he attended school and vocational college. He began driving truck in Nova Scotia, which carried on when he moved to Alberta in 1978 where he settled. He continued trucking and started his own trucking company hauling logs, gravel and oilfield equipment.

John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lily Renaski; 3 children: Marjorie Deale Edwards of Morinville, John Jr. of Edmonton and Christopher of Thorhild; 5 grandchildren; brother Richard of Nova Scotia; brother-in-law Den Frost; sister in laws: Evy and Jeannie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother Hazel Stewart Deale; father Lloyd Deale; sister Marjorie Deale Frost; brothers: Lloyd, Robert, Cameron, Fred and Phillip; and foster sister Linda Stewart Crocket.

Friends and family may pay their respects during a viewing on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Athabasca Community Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s name may be made to the Athabasca Healthcare Centre Auxiliary Association - 3100 48 Ave, Athabasca AB T9S 1M9.
