Ken Purdy

November 6, 1944  -  July 25, 2024

It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Ken Purdy announce his passing on July 25, 2024, at the age of 79 years.  Ken has gone ahead to set up the crib board, tend to the gardens, feed the birds, and scope out the hunting grounds. 

Ken will be sadly missed by his loving wife of almost 29 years, Gayle;  Children Donny (Mel) Purdy, Victor (Jody) Purdy, Trevor Purdy (Lori Pelletier), Jolene Deren, Billy-Joe Deren (Mikaela Levesque), Crystal Deren (Brad Davis);  Grandchildren William, Joseph, Daryl, Tana (Dustin), Jordan, Rose, Cameron, Brett, Abbigayle, Marc (Rachel) Pelletier, Kaitlyn (Ty) Leicht;  Great-grandchildren Trayton, Myah, Toby, Mariah, Thea;  Sister Carol Yowney;  Brother Art (Marie) Purdy;  Aunts Alma Butters, Maureen Webber;  Numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Mary Purdy;  Mother of his sons, Shirley;  Brother, Allan;  In-laws Bill and Anne Bahry, Tom and Jackie Bahry, John Reneau and Pete Yowney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Colinton Community Hall in Colinton, AB, and officiated by Pastor Al Plat of the Athabasca Reformed Congregation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Meanook Community Club or a local charity of your choice.
