Lance Reid Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Lance Hector Conrad Reid announce his passing at the age of 40 years.
Lance will be forever loved and remembered by his mother: Bertha Reid; stepdad: Ben Erasmus; children: Serenity Sparklingeyes, Abby Sparklingeyes, Faricka Rowan, Zane Rowan, Lia Rowan, Landyn Reid, Patience Reid, Calab Reid; siblings: Leon Reid, Nick Reid, Travis Reid, Geraldine & Kelly Quintal, Trisha Reid; half-brother: “Tojo” Paul L’Hirondelle & Pam Winihandi; God father: Jason Sinclair; God mother: Carm Desjarlais-Whitford; God children: Joshua & Hannah; kokums: Elizabeth Reid & Mildred Sinclair; As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Lance is predeceased by his infant son: Lance Reid Jr. (2021); father: Leonard Desjarlais (2002); kokum: Agnes Blyan-Desjarlais (2015); mooshums: Wilson Goodwin (2015) & Roy Sinclair (2024); as well as numerous close cousins and other loves ones.
A wake was held on Friday November 1, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement Recreation Centre.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement Recreation Centre.
Pallbearers: Curtis Reid, Preston Blyan-Pruden, Daniel Arcand, Edwin Augier-Courterielle, Kelly Quintal, Lance Howse.
Honorary Pallbearers: Nephews and Nieces: Dimitrius, Skylar, Justin, Mason, Joshua, Ozzie, Dyna, Hannah.
Final Resting Place: Holy Rosary Cemetery, Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement, Alberta.
