Barry, Leonard Wesley
April 13,1942 to August 20, 2024
On August 20, 2024, Leonard Barry of Athabasca passed away peacefully at Extendicare Athabasca at the age of 82. Leonard was a hardworking, friendly man that will live in our hearts forever. He was predeceased by his wife Jean on February 3, 2021, and brother Donald on June 14, 2024. He will be cherished by his family Dion (Jennifer) of Westlock and daughter Janeen (Dwayne) Pente of Athabasca; grandchildren Joshua (Shannon) Collins, Abigail (Chris)Vawter, Maggie and Sarah Barry, Samantha and Taylor (Jacob) Pente; great-grandson Tyson Pente; siblings Janet (Jake) Janikic of Kelowna, BC, Corrine (Gerry) Dotchuk of Edmonton, AB and many cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all those whose lives he touched. A celebration of life will be held at South Athabasca Hall on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Athabasca Entertainment Society. Our thanks go to Dr. Ogunnupe and the staff at the Extendicare Athabasca and Wildrose Villa in Boyle.
