Coleen Loziak

1947-2020

Mrs. Linda Colleen Loziak of Athabasca, beloved wife of Mr. Paul Loziak, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the age of 72 years.

Coleen was born and raised in Athabasca where she was later married to Paul in 1968. They purchased the Barr Homestead in 1972, where they proudly built their life and raised their family.

Paul and Colleen raised three beautiful children; Paula, Dean, and Kyla, all who reside close to the family farm.

Over the years Colleen volunteered with may organizations and was heavily involved with the PC Association and continued her political involvement with the MLA and MP’s offices.

Colleen treasured her family, her farm, and was proud of her heritage. She spoke often of where and how she grew up. She will be fondly remembered by many for her love of jewelry and gardening. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered as a kind, generous, beautiful soul.

Colleen leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years; Paul, her daughters; Paula (Todd), Kyla (Chris), her son Dean, grandchildren; Ashley, Nathan, Mackenzie, Colin, Brenden, Miranda, Riley, and Daniel, as well as her great-grandchildren; Sophia, Karson, Cambrie, Aliyah, Savannah, and Kaycen.

Colleen was predeceased by her parents; Ed and Margaret James, sisters; June and
Midge, brother Doug, and Uncle Jack.

A memorial service will be held by the family at the Grosmont Hall on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 1:00 P.M.
