Linda Lucy (Ward) Minns

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Linda Minns announces her passing at the Athabasca Extendicare on March 6th, 2022 at the age of 91 Years.

Linda will be remembered by her 3 children: Gladys (Russ), Sidney (Shelley) and Grant (Pam); as well as her family with Ken Minns: Dawn (Nigel), Gerry, Ralph (Pipin), Sandra (Maurice) and Rob (Pam). Linda will be dearly missed by her family: children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by first husband: Orval Breckenridge; second husband: Ken Minns; and infant son: Donald Breckenridge.

Linda was born in Meanook, AB and lived her whole life in the Colinton/Athabasca area. She worked alongside husband Orval on the farm until his passing and then later at Blunts in Athabasca, AB.

In 1987, Linda married Ken Minns and together they enjoyed family and retirement.

Linda always loved gatherings. Quite often this included a good game of cards. She loved travel and sunny afternoons at Baptiste Lake. Linda was an energetic, practical and caring person. Her philosophy was simple; life gives us challenges and she always said, “get up and get on with it.”

The family would like to thank all the staff at Extendicare for their excellent care and compassion and for making her feel at home.
