Liselotte Sanftl Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Lilo Sanftl announce her passing on April 21, 2025. Lilo was born January 17, 1929 in the city of Eilenburg, Germany. Lilo spoke German, Russian, and English and worked as an interpreter while in Germany. She moved to Canada in 1961 where she met and married Hans. She spent the majority of her life in Canada living on the family farm near Athabasca and working for the County of Athabasca until her retirement in 1993.
Upon her retirement, she spent many hours on the family garden, enjoyed reading and cross-country skiing, and the multitude of family, dogs, cats, and cows.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Vera, son Ralph and grandson’s Colton, Chase, and Gavin.
