Pamela Shewfelt Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Rae Shewfelt ( nee Jones ). Pamela courageously battled leukemia for over a year and passed away at the University Hospital on August 26 2022 with her beloved husband Jay by her side.
Pamela was born in Lethbridge on May 5 1982 and lived her childhood years in Athabasca. She attended Edwin Parr Composite School.
Pamela was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents: Alcides and Janet Shank and Aaron and Laurine Jones; as well as her godfather Frank Schmid.
She is survived by her loving husband Jay, four daughters: Emma, Jada, Jenna and Ava; mom and dad: Roy and Glenda Jones; sister: Lisa (Ryan) Bodnarchuk and their 3 daughters. She also leaves her in laws: John and Robyn Shewfelt; her sister-in-law Melissa (Tyler) Bentley and their children; godmother: Aunt Mary Schmid; as well as several cousins and lifelong friends.
Pamela was loved by those who knew her and will be sadly missed by her dear family and friends.
A private family funeral was held on Wednesday August 31 st2022 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gabriels Roman Catholic Church in Athabasca with Father Paulson officiating. Pamela was laid to rest at Athabasca Cemetery and lunch followed.
