Raymond Eherer Obituary
Raymond Eherer, longtime resident of Athabasca, passed away surrounded by his family on October 2, 2024, his 91st birthday.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Hattie; children Edward Eherer C.SsR., Janet (George) Stewart, Laurie (Doug) McKay; 12 grandchildren - Rory, Andrew, Alexander, RaeAnne, Jesse, Joel, Heather, Shea, Erin, Caitlin, Brodie and Ross; 18 great-grandchildren - Sloan, Ronan, Caleb, Ashton, Sawyer, Dawson, Paisley, Austen, Kaeden, Atley, Greyson, Ainsley, Ben, Jason, Eli, Hannah, Hallie, and Jacob; son-in-law Ron Fehr and daughter-in-law Terry Eherer; sister Barbara (Craig) Waters.
Raymond was predeceased by his daughter Bridget Fehr and son Gerry Eherer; his parents Joe and Annie Eherer, and his brother Joe Eherer Jr.
A vigil will be held on Tuesday, October 8 at Athabasca Community. Chapel with viewing at 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30, October 9 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Eherer presiding. Interment will follow at Athabasca Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Athabasca Healthcare Auxiliary Association or to a charity of your choice.
