Reginald "Reg" Netterville Obituary

Reginald (Reg) Stuart Netterville

September 29, 1953 – November 22, 2020

The family wishes to share the sad news of Reg’s passing, November 22, after his courageous battle with Cancer. The time had come for this man of God to go home to his maker. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife of 47 years Wendy, his Daughter Jennifer and Wade Williams, and their three children, the apples of his eyes, Kristopher, Katelynn, and Kory. His sister Donna and Lyle Lewis and their children, Jeremy, Alana, Wyatt, and Renee, and his brother Peter.

He was predeceased by his parents Neville (2009) and Ida (2010) Netterville.

He was well known for his participation in many of the Players Productions under the leadership of Mary Olson, singing in the Community Choir under the leadership of Leah Meyer Cook, and most well known by the many kids who rode his school bus, or buses as most of his years he was a spare driver.

Reg worked in and around Athabasca since his move here in 1986. A man of many abilities, but worked mainly in oil and gas or transportation. Others in the community will know him for his commitment to the Lord Jesus and his presence in the church community.

We, the family would like to thank all of the staff at both the Athabasca Health Care Centre and the Health Unit, especially their palliative care team. Without their support and guidance, we would not have been able to have him at home as long as we did and they all have done a wonderful job in his care. Thank you to

Pastor Al Platt from the Reformed Church for taking the service for us. To Leah Meyer Cook and Gina Martel and their awesome music ministry team. Thank you to Trevor Yeaman for taking on the collecting, recording, and putting together the Video.

Thanks to all of our wonderful family, friends in this community, and beyond for their contributions to the Service which has been recorded.

Due to Alberta COVID regulations, we were only allowed 10 people at the service. Working under these guidelines we managed to get it all done in bits and pieces and then thanks Trevor Yeaman it has all been put together into one video.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Living Water Anglican Fellowship tagged “in Memory of Reg” C/O BOX 1764, Athabasca, AB T9S 2B4 or to any Charity of choice.
