Richard Chorzempa Obituary

Richard Melvin Chorzempa, a lifelong resident of the Athabasca area, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on December 10, 2024 at the age of 68. An avid traveller, whether trucking on the highway, bush or ice road or flying internationally, he enjoyed being on the move.

Richard joins those who left before him, his partner, Adrienne; parents Paul and Margery, brothers Alan and Dean, sister-in-law Lynn and nephew Brian. Lovingly remembering him are siblings Murray (Maggie), Elaine (Larry Tosczak), Larry (Linda), Diane (Barry Nahorney), Kendall (Leslie), and Paulette (Ross Patry) along with his nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday December 27, 2024 at the Grosmont Community Hall at 1:00pm.; please join the family for a time of fellowship and reflection.

The Athabasca Community Chapel entrusted with arrangements. Cremation has taken place with interment in the spring. Donations in memory of Richard can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Ferguson Cemetery Club.
