Roger Harps Obituary

Roger Harps

August 16th, 1927 - May 26th, 2020

It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to Roger Harps on May 26, 2020.  Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Irene, his three girls, Cathy, Heather, and Karen, son-in-law Matt, grandsons Max and Jackson, and sister June.

Roger was a kind, caring father and loyal friend, who took pride in his work (he could build and fix anything), loved nature and the outdoors, and especially loved to hunt with his prized Husqvarna.  Everyone who met him loved him, he was an amazing family man, and loved and valued his friends who were young and old.  He spent his entire life at Ghost Lake and created a wonderful life and memories for so many over the years, especially for his family.  He will be missed so much, and he already is.  The family would like to thank all of the amazing support of our extended family and friends, the staff at Extendicare, and of the Athabasca Hospital – in particular Dr. E for making this incredibly difficult time easier for all of us and especially Dad.

A funeral will not be held per Roger’s wishes.
