Sylvester Badry Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sylvester J. Badry announces his passing on November 2nd, at the age 76.
Left to mourn his loss is Sabina Zachoda, extended family, siblings and friends.
Sylvester was predeceased by both of his parents.
Born in the Camrose area on a farm, Sylvester grew up loving math, which lead him to be a bank manager with ATB from 1965-1998. Close to retiring, he fell in love with the Athabasca area. He met Sabina in 2000 and they retired on an acreage on the north side of the river. Syl loved acreage living; hunting, fishing and morning trips to town to get the mail and groceries Sabina needed for the day. Most afternoons, you would find him at his cousins place feeding cats and cutting grass.
He always liked a good deal. Evenings, he would be found on the computer, finding his next “gem” to buy on his list. Syl’s favorite “gem” was his train collection.
Sylvester always had a smile on his face and said “Have a nice day!” He will be dearly missed by everyone he knew.
Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of life will be held in 2022.
