With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we said goodbye to our dad, Walter Bulas, on May 28, 2026 at the age of 95. His heart was broken after losing (Mom) Mary Ann, his beloved wife and the love of his life, just 8 months ago. After 70 years of marriage, Walter was never the same without her by his side. Their love story spanned a lifetime built on devotion, partnership, and unwavering commitment to one another. While it is difficult to say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that Dad & Mom have been reunited, together once again after a lifetime of love.
Dad was a man of many titles and countless talents. He was a devoted son, a cherished brother, loving husband, a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Throughout his life, he wore many hats and rarely met a challenge he could not tackle. He was a logger, carpenter, builder, electrician, plumber, farmer, mechanic, trapper, fisherman, hunter, singer and musician. A true Jack-of-All-Trades. Dad possessed a remarkable ability to build, repair, create and provide. Whether working with his hands, tending the land, sharing stories, or playing music, he approached life with dedication, skills and passion. More than his many accomplishments, Dad will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, honesty, fairness, strong work ethic, and the deep love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down and the memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Walter is survived by his children Linda (Marion) Wolak, Ray Bulas & (Debbie Maddex), Susan (John) Van Rompaey, Brian (Louise) Bulas.
Grandchildren: Vance (Hannah) Wolak, Carlene (Nate) Kis, Kelcie Bulas & (Justin Hall), Stacey (Michael) Kanarek, Sheena (Phil) James, Carrie Bulas & (Denes Demeter), Katrina (Ki) Schmidt, Kaitlynn Bulas, Jason Bulas. Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Ann, his parents Mike & Mary Bulas, brother Mike Bulas, brother-in-law Steve Radkevich, Stan Gerwatoski, and Ed Konior, sister-in-law Linda Lupiecowiez.
