Walter Twin Obituary
Walter Felix Twin passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday June 23rd 2024. He was 90 years old at his time of passing.
Walter worked for Slave Lake Parks and Recreation for many years until he retirement. He further devoted his time and service to the Sawridge First Nation as a counsellor for Almost 5 decades. Which was one of the longest standing terms for a counsellor for a first Nation in Canada. Walter was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta) for his service To the Sawridge first nation, Catholic Church and to the province of Alberta.
Walter will be sadly missed by his family, friends and acquaintances. A wake will be held for Walter at the Slave Lake Friendship center on Friday July 5th 2024 at 2pm.
His funeral service will take place on Saturday July 6th 2024 at St Peters Celestin Catholic church In Slave Lake at 11am.
Following the Service there will be a lunch held at Slave Lake friendship center.
