Obituary
On May 20th, 2023, Yvonne Swanson of Athabasca passed away the age of 83 years. She joins her husband, Dale Herbert Swanson. She was predeceased by her older siblings, Donald L’Hirondelle and Patricia Musgrove.
She will be dearly missed by her 4 children Cindy Jones (Daryl), Annette Swanson (Robert), Stacy Swanson (Velvet), Jody Swanson (Marc) and 6 grandchildren: Matthew (Molly), Daniel (Tanya), Brett, Zoey, Mia & Maxim.
Yvonne Shirley L’Hirondelle was born in Calgary, Alberta and grew up in Turner Valley, Alberta. She married Dale Swanson on February 21, 1959. Yvonne and Dale enjoyed their home at Baptiste Lake where family and numerous friends would stop by to socialize.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Athabasca Branch #103,
on Friday June 9th, 2023 at 1-3 pm. Stop by for a toast to an incredible, strong, amazing lady!
Interment to follow at the Athabasca Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Legion.
