It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anton (Tony, Tex) Fotty on Monday February 26, 2024, at the age of 85. Tony was born in Athabasca, Alberta in 1938 and lived the rest of his life there working and raising his family.
Tony was a kind, caring man who had a love of the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing and sitting by the fire playing his guitar. He loved sports including playing baseball, curling and watching hockey.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Metro and Mary, his sister Sadie, brother in law Andrew and brother in law Ken. He is survived by his brother Dwayne (Jackie) and sisters Joyce and Marion (Henry), his son Dallas (Jennifer), daughter Kimberley (Alan), his grandchild Seth, step-grandchild Skye and step-great grandchildren Ava and Ivy in addition to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Athabasca Legion on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
