Audrey Beryle Webb (DeFord)
May 12, 1927 – June 20, 2018
On June 20, 2018, Mrs. Audrey Webb of Athabasca, passed away at the Athabasca Healthcare Centre at the age of 91.
Audrey is survived by three sons and one daughter. Wayne, Allan (Terri), Larry (Loree) and Dawne; five grandchildren: Angie, Darcy (Sara), Tracy (Mark), Dan and Doug; five great grandchildren, Chandra, Gaige, Danikah, Reese and J’Nay. Sister-in-laws Edith May, Peggy (Nick), Gerry and Shiela (Calvin); brother-in-laws Bill (Ruth), Russell (Elizabeth) and Tom, As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur “Harry”, parents Gylvia and Pearl (Sharp) DeFord, sister Elaine and brother-in-law Fred, as well as many other Loved ones.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Athabasca Missionary Church with Pastor Al Plat officiating.
Interment followed at the Athabasca Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, memorial donations may be made to STARS or the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
“It has been said it takes a village to raise a child.” We also believe it takes a village to keep a senior in their home. On that note we would like to thank our brother Wayne who went beyond to keep mom at home. Allan (Terri), Larry (Loree) and Dawne know the sacrifice you made and are forever grateful. Mary Bury you were a true friend in every way. Sharon MacKenzie mom looked so forward to your visits. Ann Geleta you made moms day every Thursday. Ken Alberts for keeping the driveway clear in the winter. We all very much appreciated it.
A special thank you to Dr. A Mol for the compassion you gave mom through the years and especially these last few weeks she was in the hospital. Thank you to the nursing staff at the Athabasca Healthcare Centre for the excellent care you gave mom. Shanley MacKenzie, thank you for such a wonderful eulogy. Special thanks to Kristen MacKenzie and Allan Kleinschroth for singing at the service, mom always loved your voices.
Thank you, Pastor Al Plat for coming to the hospital to see mom and for the lovely service.
Thank you to the Athabasca Community Chapel for being so professional and compassionate to the family at such a difficult time.
Thank you to the caterers for the lovely lunch you served after the service.
