It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Brenda Alyss Schaeffer of Athabasca, after her battle with cancer. Born June 23, 1942, and passing peacefully on February 15, 2024 at 82 years in hospital surrounded by her family.
We have lost an integral part of our family. We will forever miss her presence in our lives, but she is with dad now, where her heart has always been.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children; Mike (Janet) Warwick, Kevin (Nilce) Warwick, Tamara (Wayne) Kowalchuk, and Jeremy (Patricia) Schaeffer; grandchildren, Derek, Brianna, Jennifer, Paige, Blaine (Kathleen), and Matthew (Jessica). Great grandchildren, Bella, Phoenix, Logan, Liam, and Levi; brother, Robert Murphy; sisters; Debbie Hong, and Colleen Beddington
She was predeceased by parents Robert and Hilda Murphy, son Frederick, and more recently, beloved husband Allan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Athabasca Community Chapel, and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Athabasca Community Chapel with Pastor Emmanuel Chiwele officiating. Following the service, Brenda will be laid to rest at Cash Creek Cemetery, Athabasca County, Alberta.
