Donald James Angus
July 16, 1951 - January 6, 2024 (age 72)
It is with great sadness that the family of Don Angus announce his passing on January 6th with most of his family by his side. Don was a committed husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and nothing gave him more joy in life than spending valuable time with his many family members and friends visiting and playing crib. His presence brought joy and laughter to those around him. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, his daughter and step-daughters: Mary-Lynn (Russ) Angus, Sheila Picton, Sharon (Glenn) Brown, Shauna (Dan) Wilkinson-Kosowan. Grandchildren: Chris and Cody (Kalinda) Thornhill, Alexandra (Will) and Jenessa Brown, Mary and Everett Kosowan, and great grandchildren: Leyden, Nyah, Alanna and Olivia Thornhill.
Don is survived by his sisters: Linda Goupil, Barb (Tony) Pullman, brothers: Kevin (Gayle), George (Debbie), and Steve Angus.
Don was predeceased by his father Elmer, his mother Mary, daughter Angie, niece Samantha and brother-in-law Bud Goupil.
A service will be held on Saturday January 27th at 1:00 pm with luncheon to be served afterwards at the Athabasca Missionary Church, 4008-50 Ave, Athabasca AB, T9S 1M2 with Pastor Al Plat officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to STARS.
