It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ed Konior at the age of 89 on March 27th, 2023 with his devoted, loving wife Edna by his side.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Edna; nephew Stan Tarabula; nieces Shirley (Garry) Mathewson and Linda (Rick) Morton; and nephews wife Ruth Webb. He also leaves behind his cousins in Germany, Teresa and Ed Bednarczyk, Paul & Ania Bednarczyk, Peter & Anna Bednarczyk and Patrick Bednarczyk; in laws Mary Ann & Walter Bulas, Joe Lupiezowiec and Agnes Lupiezowiec; many other nieces and nephews Linda (Marion) Wolak, Sue (John) Van Rompaey, Ray Bulas (Debbie), Brian (Louise) Bulas, Paula (Dean) Patry, Cindy Gallant; as well as numerous cousins in Poland.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Julia Konior; siblings Tillie Konior, Mike Konior, Blanche Tarabula and Mary Webb; and nephew Gerald Webb.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church in Athabasca, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to a charity of one’s choice.
