April 19, 1959 – January 24, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our son and brother Grant Coli of Athabasca, AB. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the age of 58 years.

He is survived by his mother Mary, sister Maxine Winder, brother Patrick (Tracey), four nephews Rory Winder, Scott Winder, Chase Coli and Karsten Coli. Grant was predeceased by his father Hugo and brother-in-law Rodney Winder.

One of Grant’s greatest joys in life was his dedicated involvement in the Colinton and Whitecourt volunteer Fire Departments. He had the great honor of receiving the Alberta Emergency Services Medal and the Queens Medal for Exemplary Service.

Grant was also very proud to have received security status to be apart of the security team for the Papal visit of John Paull II in 1984.

As per Grant’s request, a private service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank all who have expressed their condolences.

Grant was a well known friendly face in the local community. He will be missed by many.
