January 8, 1926 - January 26, 2018.
Signe Genoud of Atmore, Alberta passed away in Boyle, AB at the age of 92.
Signe is survived by sons, Bruce (Jenny), Gerald (Julie), David (Glenna), daughters Gwen and Heather (David), grandchildren Natasha (Mike), Jason, Nelia (Jordan), Nolan (Gier), Katelyn and Hayden (Megan). Very special adopted family, Colleen, Warren, Dylan, Julia, and Allison Shapka, brother Knut Vesterdal, sisters-in-law, Christiane Bossel and Madeleine Paul.
Predeceased by husband Victor, brother Harold and baby daughter Suzanne.
Signe was a very dedicated Registered Nurse and health care practitioner in her community for over 40 years. She was an avid parishioner of many Churches in her community and had an extremely strong belief in God and helping her fellow man. She was a tireless volunteer for her churches and community. She also loved being a grandmother, socializing, travelling, and making new friends. Signe was a very fine lady who espoused kindness and generosity at every opportunity.
The family would like to thank the doctors and the compassionate staff at the Boyle Health Care Center, the exceptional staff at the Wildrose Villa for their care, and all of Signe’s many, many friends for their numerous acts of kindness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Grassland Community Center in Grassland, Alberta.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Boyle Health Care Auxiliary or STARS Air Ambulance.
