It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Rojowski announce her passing on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the age of 85 years.
Helen (nee Sorokoski) was born in Athabasca on April 25, 1938. She met and married her husband Frank and together they built their home and ran a successful business that served the Athabasca community until Frank's passing in 2014.
She appreciated nature and had a deep affection for animals, having a special bond with her constant companion Shep.
Helen is survived by her four siblings: Michael Sorokoski, Lena Johanson, Julie Mohorich, and John Sorokoski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, and two siblings: Roy and Mary.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Healing Hearts Inc. for the wonderful home care that they provided.
At the family’s request there will be no funeral. A private family service will be held when she is laid to rest.
Helen will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
