We are sad to announce the passing of our Dear Sister and Dear friend (‘ My Nother Mother’ ) Helen Struski.
Helen passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 16 at the Athabasca Health Care Center after a brief stay. She was away from her home at Pleasant Valley Lodge and her family and friends there.
We would like to extend our thanks to ALL who watched over her there. Her friends, Homecare Staff and all of the PVL staff. We would also like to thank all the staff at the hospital who showed her such TLC. Also our most sincere thanks to Dr. Ryan Schaub for his sincere and professional care of Helen over the past few years and to Dr. Ade for his compassion and care while filling in for Dr. Schaub.
Helen is at peace. For that we are grateful.
At Helen’s request there will be no service. She will go home to where she grew up, Marwayne Alberta ,to join those who have gone before her.
Helen is survived by sisters Anne (Hamer), Sue (Doug) and Eunice; and friend Joyce.
