With heavy hearts but with warm memories, we announce the passing of our Dad, Hugh William (Hughie) Wight of Didsbury, Alberta on February 14, 2017, at the age of 85 years.
Hughie is survived by his children, Linda Wight (David Dowdell), Larry Wight (Soledad), Dale Wight (Maria), Della VanLaar, Roley Wight (Carla) and Tim Wight (Sylvia), his 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and his sister Doreen Wight of Colinton, Alberta. He is predeceased by his first wife of 28 years, Marnie, second wife of 20 years, Donna, parents Elizabeth and Roland Wight, sister Edie Fertig and brothers George, Kenny and Dennis.
At this time, Hughie’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the medical professionals and staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary.
Funeral services for Hughie will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Colinton Community Centre in Colinton, Alberta.
