It is with profound sorrow and love that the family of Harold John Chiernyk announce his passing on Oct. 18, 2023 at the age of 77 years.
Our beloved John passed away peacefully on a beautiful fall day, while working on the family farm.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his partner, Helen Serona and her son Chris, by his three sisters, Barbara Kwasney (Ronald), Frances Trenchie (Hank Mynio) and Emily Spence (Brian), by his four nieces, Karen Lauridsen (Jeremy), Roxanne Senyk (Kevin), Loralee Spence- Kuffner, and Karla Kwasney (Lyle Paquette) and by his two nephews Shannon Brian Spence and Trevor Kwasney as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family and many, many beloved friends.
John was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Annie Chiernyk and by his brother-in-law, Ronald Kwasney, and Gordon Yarish.
A Funeral Service is being held on Friday, October 27th, 2023 at 11:00 am at Perryvale Community Hall. For those unable to attend, a viewing will be held Thursday, October 26th, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Athabasca Community Chapel.
Donations in John’s name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Rochester Community Hall.
