The family of John Kamelchuk are saddened to share the news of his passing onAugust 9, 2023 at the age of 91 years old.
John is survived by his wife Doris Kamelchuk; Children: June (Ed), Jennie (David), Judy (Earl), Bert (Grace), John Jr. (Gwen); Brother Steve & 12 grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren.
John is predeceased by his parents Mike and Pearl Kamelchuk, Grandson Jarrett Whitford, Brothers Mike & William Kamelchuk.
He was born on September 5, 1931 at home on the farm 2 miles west of Prosvita Hall. John was the oldest of four boys. John will forever be remembered for the love he had for his farm, sawmill, neighbours, family, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Athabasca Community Chapel. Pastor Al Plat will be officiating and interment will follow at the Prosperity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
