It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grand father, Kalenick Kapitaniuk, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the age of 91 years.
Besides his loving wife of 65 years Jane, Kalenick is survived by his 3 sons: Raymond, Terry (Darce) and Dale (Natasha); daughter-in law Shirley; 7 grandchildren: Terri, Leslie (Tyler), Sheena, Leah Lori(Stephan), Dee(Jeff) and Derek; 10 great-grandchildren: Jordyne, McKenzie, Brenden, Isla, Lucca, Kora, Sierra, Drake, Cortney, Brittney; 2 brothers: Cosmo (Dinah), William (Stella) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Kalenick was predeceased by his parents Pearl & Andrew, son Rudy, and daughter-in-law Winnie.
Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm & 9:00pm on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Athabasca Community Chapel, 3403 48th Avenue, Athabasca, Alberta.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Athabasca Missionary Church, 4008 50th Avenue, Athabasca, Alberta with Pastor Al Plat officiating. Interment to follow in Athabasca Community Cemetery.
