It is with deep sadness that the family of Kelly Roxanne Astasiewicz announces her sudden passing on Sept 7, 2025, just shy of 60. She leaves behind her loving husband Richard and their cherished daughter Karly. 

Kelly is survived by parents, Paul & Diana Ponich, sister Trudy (Vern) Gauthier and sons Dalton (Madison) & Linden (Kayla), brother Kirby Ponich and children Keenan, Rowan, Kyland, & Zadiya. 

Parents-in-law Ed & Staffie Astasiewicz , brother-in law Glen (Rhonda) Astasiewicz and sons Nicholas (Alexa) and Alex (Tateum)  

Stepson Darcy Silkie (Katie Pregitzer) and children Ryder and Genevieve Silkie and Cory Robideau. 

Kelly grew up in Grassland where she attended school and then went on to complete her Dental Assistant Certificate at NAIT. She worked as a dental assistant in Edmonton for several years. She moved back to Grassland and worked at Alpac where she met Richard. They got married in 1999 and lived in Athabasca ever since. She enjoyed spending much of her time at their lake lot at Island Lake and on winter vacations. She also joined the Athabasca Dance Society where she performed in many recitals. She also enjoyed playing guitar, cross stitching, diamond art and coloring, When Kelly was in school, she played several sports, volleyball, basketball, badminton she also played several levels of Softball.  

Kelly was a caring and loving person and will be missed by her family and friends.
