It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Gordon Willsie. Larry was born on September 16, 1947 in Innisfail, Alberta. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 5, 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Rosalie, parents Gordon and Jennie Willsie, in-laws William and Annie Nalesnik, and brother In laws, Walter, Henry and Richard.
He is survived by his sons Dean (Melanie) and Keith, granddaughter Nicole (Finn), sisters Helen Skolarchuk , Laura (Jack) Oatway , Ruth Lisowec, Marie (Patrick) Rusk, Nora (Jim) Nykipilo, and numerous nieces , nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews, and in-laws Violet, Nick, Tim, Bonnie and Arlene.
Larry was a well respected and hard working man, loved by many. His life was full of trucking, travel, golf, and family time.
Friends and Family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m at the Athabasca Community Chapel, Athabasca, Alberta.
Funeral Service Monday, September 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m at the Colinton Community Hall, Colinton, Alberta with Pastor Al Plat officiating. Interment will follow at the New Pine Creek Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Larry's name may be made to the Athabasca Healthcare Centre Auxiliary Association.
