Oscar Adelard Guay
July 14, 1925 – May 14, 2018
Peacefully surrounded by his family, Oscar Adelard Guay passed away at the age of 92 years on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Athabasca Healthcare Centre
Oscar was born and raised in Athabasca and will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Lucille Peterson of 18 years; his children Lennie (Doris) Guay, Leon (Donna) Guay and Arlene (Garry) Milot; 5 grandchildren Brent (Melody) Guay, Kim MacMillan, Kevin (Jamie) Milot, Jackie (Troy) Armstrong, Trevor (Amber) Guay; 12 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Brennan and Megan Guay; Cohen MacMillan; Levi and Madison Milot; Emma and Austin Armstrong; Dakota, Logan and Jaelyn Guay; sister Rose Alice Patry, and sister-in-law Rosie Guay, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Oscar was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Verna; parents Joseph and Rose Aimee; brother Lucien Guay, brother Philip (Rose) Guay, sister Marguerite (James) Smallwood.
It was Oscar’s wish to be cremated and have a celebration of life with his family and friends. His celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Athabasca Missionary Church.
Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Athabasca Healthcare Centre – Palliative Care Unit.
