Roy Rumbolt passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 85 years.
Roy was the third child of a family of eight. He was born in Mattie Cove, Labrador.
He was predeceased by his younger brother John and his oldest sister Rita.
Roy will be lovingly remembered by his brothers: Arch and Clarence; and his sisters: Mildred, Violet, and Dorothy.
On February 20th, 1963 Roy married the love of his life Muriel Ann. Together they had six children – Christopher (Doris), Gilbert (Claire), Rosemarie (George), Jennifer (William), Patricia (Kevin), and Bruce (Tahnee). He was blessed with ten grandchildren – Ellie (Brook), Rebecca (Matthew), Justine, Alex, Phoebe, Adam, Daria, Samantha, Cassandra, and Atticus, and 6 great grandchildren - Payton, Aiden, Harlow, Cash, Briseis, and Desmond. He loved all of his family deeply and openly. Roy always let everyone know he was thinking of them, and they were always in his heart.
Roy was a man of deep faith and worked hard to provide a wonderful life for his family. He was an accomplished carpenter and many of his family have furniture he has made over his life.
Muriel and the rest of Roy’s family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Boyle Community Hospital where Roy had his last days. They treated him with kindness and thoughtfulness and so much respect.
Roy will be cremated and the funeral will be attended by his family.
