Roy Ephriem Sinclair

Born on July 18, 1940, in Lac La Biche, Alberta. Passed away May 11th, 2024, in Athabasca, Alberta. His parents were Ephriem Sinclair and Eliza Whitford. He had one older half-sister Florence, one older brother Ben, and one older sister Myrtle.

He was raised for a period at his grandparent’s place in Norhtbank near Warspite. The Sinclair House, where he spent some of his youth, is now located at Metis Crossing.

After about the age of 12, Roy grew up among the many Metis families that settles nearby, some of which were also his relatives.

Roy was the last surviving grandchild of Benjamin George Sinclair and was the last surviving great Grandson of Rev. Benjamin Sinclair.

Roy leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years Mildred Sinclair.

His loving children, stepchildren, and the children he raised, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A wake will be held May 17th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Buffalo Lake Metis settlement Gymnasium.

His funeral service will be held May 18th, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement Gymnasium.

Roy will take his final ride to his resting place at Buffalo Lake Cemetery following the service.

Roy leaves behind for his family a legacy of unconditional love, support, and solid work ethics. Roy lived 83 years of life proud and with so much pride. He will be greatly missed.
